African Space Program
Exploring space is a task that most countries don't venture into probably because of the budget involve. Well, a go around in this budget hurdle is to do joint programs like those NASA does with countries like Russia, Japan, Germany and the EU. If you doubt me, then I will say take a look at the International Space Station.
When you look at countries in Africa with a space program, you can barely see any but South Africa does stand out. Here is another department Africa is lagging in but the question will be why should this continent indulge in space programs when they are seen as poor people and they have accepted that crazy idea.
Not to talk politics, if African countries were well managed by those who claim to be patriots, then we should be up there racing in front or alongside China, Russia, and while not the USA only if we came together with the African Union. The continent does not lack the scientist or the engineers.
All the continent has are just a few countries like South Africa, Nigeria, Lybia with a few satellites launched by foreigners like the Japanese, Chinese, and Americans.
The African Union once initiated a space program but I will say it died or is dying a natural death. How can you have a Union that still relies on financial aid to to help deal with its continental challenges diving into space issues that require billions of dollars to run.
When will this super rich continent stop lagging behind in everything?
